紅白！ Red and white!

アトリエの庭の百日紅さんが今年も咲いています。

いっときは蔓性の植物にぐるぐる巻きにされていて‥

蔓が幹に食い込んでいまっていしたが気づいていませんでした。

そんな状態から救って10年余り‥ かな？やっと沢山の花をつけてくれるようになりました。その花も紅が大半なんですが少しだけ白い花もさきます。きっと親父が紅白になるように植えたんだな〜と思って、今更ながら感謝です。

もう一月ぐらいは咲いていて、結構長く花を楽しめます。

この木も剪定していないので今では２階の屋根ぐらいまで伸びてしまっています。

The crape myrtle in my studio garden is blooming again this year. At one point, it was completely wrapped up in vines... The vines had eaten into the trunk, but I didn't notice. It's been over 10 years since I rescued it from that state... I guess? It's finally starting to produce lots of flowers. Most of the flowers are red, but there are a few white ones too. I'm sure my dad planted it so that they would turn red and white, and I'm grateful for that now.

It's been blooming for about a month now, so we can enjoy the flowers for quite a long time. This tree hasn't been pruned either, so it has now grown up to the second-story roof. I look forward to a long and happy relationship with you! Thank you.
